From Block to Paper

An ancient technique used to apply pattern onto various textiles and materials, block printing was first seen in wallpaper design in the seventeenth century; providing a more economical alternative to decorative fabrics and leather.

With the same attention to detail and care, our designers have carefully reconstructed these archival hand painted paper patterns into stunning block printed wallpaper designs.

Taken from our extraordinary archive, the five distinct designs have never been seen before and are informed by a range of historical influences. Traditionally block-printed in the UK, the wallpapers have an exceptional handmade quality and a stand-out depth of natural colour. Supplied in 10m rolls with a trimmed width of 53cm.
